Not sure what to say?

I am a former student of Dr. Reif. I had been a Wilkes-Hahnemann student as well as a nursing student. I was one of those 'few' students who obtained a 'perfect score' on one of Dr. Reif's infamous Biology exams. Because of that distinction, I was 'inducted' into his special society (unfortunately I can not recall the name). I do remember he donned a Roman helmut and sword during the induction ceremony. Part of the ceremony including my recieving a reference book relating the the subject of...

It is with great sadness that I learned of Dr. Reif’s death. I have many fond memories of Dr. Reif in my years as a biology major at Wilkes College. Dr. Reif was an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, tough, professional instructor. He not only taught us histology and other courses in biology but instilled in his students the need to correctly speak and write the English language.

He was one of my favorite teachers at BUJC.Imparted knowledge with humor, and memories of him as a person as well as teacher remain.
More that sixty years ago he told his classes that world overpopulation and disregard for the ecosystem would shape our future. He was far ahead of his time!

Dr. Reif was my advisor during my freshman year at Wilkes (1976-77). I feel blessed by having had the opportunity to have him as a professor. He was a scholar and a true gentleman. He lived by a set of standards and he expected no less from his students. It wasn't just education, it was formation, and I will be forever grateful for it.
Requiescat in Pace.
