So saddened and sorry to hear about the passing of Chuck. Condolences and prayers go out to you Charlie and your entire family.
Years ago while at MTSU, I did my student teaching for Chuck's Grandfather at Franklin Jr. High in Frankin, Tennessee. I have kept up with the Akers family through the years. RIP Chuck's Akers.

Charlie and Susan, God Bless your family. We tried to see you today and the community was out in full force. We were fortunate to meet you through Baseball. Chuck was such a pleasure and we are saddened by his death. Chuck had such an impact on everyone he met and he was a special athlete. He will be missed and we pray he has found peace. God Bless your broken hearts! John, Tonga and Eric McNamee.
