Charles Robert "Bob" Richards

Hard to believe it's been 4 years since we lost Bob Richards. Every time I make coffee or light a cigar I think about Bob. December is tough for me, I lost Bob, I lost my four legged friend, Nellie in December and a favorite high school teacher in December. What I miss the most was not being able to say goodbye to him. At one time were we very very close, close as brothers. But now I can only go to Fort Custer to his grave. It's very nice, one of the newer plots, that are not...

One more trip around the sun, it's Bob's birth date again. I still miss him and every time I make coffee I think about Bob. I started a new company and it's the first time I haven't had Bob to help me with a new one. He won't get to see his grand kids graduate from high school, or see them graduate college either. He was a better friend to me than I was to him, and I will forever be sorry I can't tell him. We don't see what's in front of us until it's gone.

I was lucky to have be able to know him for as long as I did and do so many things with him over those years. A true gentleman and officer. A true gentleman, I worked with Bob Richards at Sparton Electronics in Jackson in the 1970's. And that started a 50 year long friendship. He used to tell stories about his time in the Army, which he left as a Capt. He watched Apollo 11 land on the moon in a day room, he once volunteered to drove a pickup truck to Texas, for the Army, just to see Texas. We became fast friends and were both single until he met the love of his life Sharry!! I got to attend...

So sad to hear of your dads passing. Really a shock as I saw him couple of weeks ago as I was cutting his neighbors grass. Your dad brought me over 5 cigars He was always so gracious. Sorry we weren´t able to make memorial as we both had flu. Peace to your family. Bob was a good man.

Scott...Just talked with Burke and he passed on the sad news of your Dad's death. My thoughts are with you and all your family.

Bob came in for massage at Creative Edge We will miss seeing his smiling face. He talked about his wonderful family quite often, So sorry for your loss.
