Not sure what to say?

Robin, I met you and Charles at the dinner for LSN at which Queen Noor of Jordan spoke. We sat together at Jane Olsen´s table. Though it´s long past Charles´ passing, please accept my condolences. You were both so kind, talkative, and sweet to me, and you both were impressed by my use of club soda to remove wine from fabric. It´s the simple things in life, and the small gestures in life that are memorable. Thank you for your kindness . Best, Allyson Krugh (used to be Cryden)

He served with distinction on the City National Bank Board and Trust Investment Committee for the ten years when I was a portfolio manager reporting to the committee every two weeks. One of the wisest men I knew on both trust and investment issues. Learned so much and had so much fun. A great man.

Chuck made a big impression on me and my crew way back in 1981 at the J24 Worlds in Sydney. Very humble, very wise, very competitive. I had the pleasure of dining with him again many years later and was again enriched by his experiences and wisdom.

Chuck found with Douglas, seduced me to Gibson Dunn and left me to struggle with a large real estate project. You may be sure that he guided my life as much or more than any other person. And for my good. I thank him; I will remember him as I have these 50 years or more: with fondness, with respect, and with laughter.

A truly unique man and a real leader that made a huge difference in my life. My condolences and prayers to the family.
