Charles Riddle Obituary
June 30, 1944 - July 8, 2025
Fresno, California - Charles "Gary" Riddle, 81, of Fresno, California, passed away on July 8, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born June 30, 1944, in Tulare, Gary was raised in Corcoran and later in Orosi, where he graduated from Orosi High School in 1962. He pursued studies at College of the Sequoias, Cal Poly, and Fresno State before beginning a 14-year career with the Internal Revenue Service. He later joined the family citrus business, working closely with his siblings for nearly two decades.
Gary will be remembered for his warmth, creativity, and deep devotion to family. He had a zest for life-loved to travel, cook gourmet meals, tend his garden, and knit with exceptional skill. Known for his quick wit and easy charm, Gary formed lifelong friendships, many dating back to his school days. His greatest joy came from time spent with those he loved-especially his siblings, Cathie, Peggy, and Kevin and sister-in-law Ann; his daughter and son-in-law Laura and Brian; and his grandchildren, Katie and Kevin.
In his final months, Gary embraced his faith in Jesus Christ, finding peace and comfort that uplifted both him and his family.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Brian Bonn; grandchildren, Katie and Kevin Bonn; sister, Cathie Walker; brother and sister-in-law, Kevin and Ann Riddle; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Hazel Riddle; his sister, Peggy Riddle; and his partner, Dr. James "Frank" Franklin.
A celebration of Gary's life will be held on August 7. For details, please RSVP to [email protected]. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation or Endurance.org.

Growing up about 2 miles from the Riddle house on Johnson drive and our house on Drive 152 I knew all of the Riddle family. Gary being older I remember him as a big guy. As I graduated in 1967.
