Not sure what to say?

I just now learned of Charles's passing over a month ago, and am very saddened. For many years when I was Commander of Plainwell VFW Post 9377, I invited Charles to perform in our Memorial Day Ceremonies with his Civil War battlefield drum replica, and he never let us down. We shall miss him and his gracious wife, Deb. Rest in peace, my friend!

Best wishes to Jamie and Karen and their family. Nelson and Pat

Charlie was an old classmate of mine. Very sorry to hear of his passing. He was a nice man. Friendly, willing to share his knowledge of many things. Please accept our most sincere sympathies. Lee and Diane Boysen

It was so good to reconnect with Charlie at our 50th class reunion. He was so proud of his drumming and gave us an amazing example. Thank you, Charlie, for being the loving, giving person you were. Never saw him without a smile! Prayers to his family and friends for peace and comfort.

We enjoyed seeing Charlie at our 50th high school reunion last fall. He dressed in his reanactment attire and played his drum for his classmates. It was amazing to hear him drum. It was good to reconnect with him. I'm glad we made the time to go to one of his reanactments last fall to see his drum presentation. It was great to visit with him. He shared his love of history and his love for his family. We will miss him. Praying God will hold his family close during this difficult time.

Charlie was one of my best friends in school, we were very like minded with mechanics and gardening. He'll surely be missed.

Always sat with Charlie at class reunions and so enjoyed seeing him. Met his mother once a beautiful lady. Fond memories of him in school. A sweetheart!

My deepest sympathy to Deb and the rest of family, Charlie has been like family for most of my life very good friend and he will be greatly missed.

A life long friend that will be surely missed.
