Not sure what to say?

Cousin Charlie, we miss you more and more each day. Lala and Jeanne have joined you and Larry in heaven. More and more of our family are heading home. We know you all are free of pain and all the positive aspects of passing on to heaven. The ones of us left here on earth are doing our best. I will never forget all your visits to Alabama when we were kids. Also, I will never forget how you and your wonderful police team in Chicago helped me when I became a fraud victim in New York City. ...

My heart aches for all of the Roberts family.
I met Charlie when I was 10 years old in 1965 when I was over at the Roberts home on Merrill Ave. The times that Charlie came home to visit, his parents lit up and his brothers, Jeanie and my best friend Bonnie were overjoyed because they knew Charlie was special, the Roberts family was special.
I moved away and lost contact with Bonnie and her family but none of you left my heart. The kindness your family gave to me will never be...

Charlie...you will be missed. You were my favorite instructor at SPSC 199.

To all the Roberts family. I'm sorry that my orginal message did not get through. I'm not good on the computer. But it's been a long time since we all saw each other and I hope we can all keep in contact. I know that John lives close to me. If you see this message call me. My number is 8158363801. Love to all Tim Twohill

A true leader and professional has been lost. Law Enforcement is better because of people like Charlie. A great guy, a great mentor and a great police officer. You will be missed.

My sincere condolences to Charlie's family. Charlie was THE example of the new age police officer. He will be missed. Stephen L. Kuhn, Senior Polce Advisor, US Embassy, Lima, Peru

Charlie Roberts was a man of parts: submariner, fireman, police officer and businessman. An example to all and a pleasure to be around. He will be sorely missed. Mark & Sheila Devane

I always enjoyed working with Charlie. He was detailed and professional. Students from SPSC's around the country never failed to ask; how is Charlie Robers. Charlie truly exemplefied what Northwestern and the SPSC was about. My prayers are with his family. (Cameron "Ron" Fisher) Kosovo
