It was such a shock to me and my family to hear the news about Charlie. Years ago Charlie asked me who I was...and when I told him he had many fond memories and stories to tell me about when he was my Grandparents bread man. He always told me how much he loved my Grandparents and they loved Charlie just as much...if not more! Grandma and Pap got their bread man back! Charlie was a great man and will be missed by many!
My thoughts and prayers are with the family. May you find peace and...

Dear Aunt Edna, Suzy and Chuck, and the whole family. My heart is heavy today with hearing the news of Uncle Charlie passing. Growing up I had many fun memories at the old cabin, playing in the creek and catching salamanders. He always had a big smile and laugh. I will remember that. You have my deepest sympathy. You are in my thoughts and prayers today. I pray God will give you all peace and strength during this difficult time. God's peace and love be with you all. Love, Louise "Lou"...

My sisters and I all worked for Charlie at Happy Acres. I read his grand-daughter Jen's entry... she said it best. He was a difficult man to work for, but I have MANY fond memories of my 8 years of employment at Happy Acres... and, in one way or another, Charlie inspired me and my sisters to do our best.
I have wonderful memories of Rosie & Sam, Steve, Mary Kay & Rick, Edna (always our salad bar savior), Suzie, Sandy, Deb and Diane, Carol and Neil, Charlie Elicker, Charlie...

Dear Edna and family, so sorry to hear about Charlie. I know he is in heaven and mom will be so happy to see him again. He took good care of mom while she was living. He would call and check on her and make her laugh. WE always enjoyed all the visits from you and Charlie. Edna, take care I am thinking of you and the family
