Dreamy Pastels - A Florist Original

I was in Mr. Romanelli's English 8 class at Curtis and I helped him take attendance - I still remember those Delaney cards, very small in size. He was a kind and gentle soul, friendly without being intrusive, smart without being a know-it-all; yet when you spoke with him you knew he was highly educated. He had a large family, and I also knew also knew he was active in his church, which few people I knew were. Mr. Romanelli was also very patient, I remember him explaining an act from King...

I was in Mr. Romanelli's English class once around 1973. He was indeed a kind and compassionate person. I had written a paper that I thought was great, but it was pointed out by him that it had some major issues. I thought I would fail the class. I didn't. He inspired me to do same for my own students who needed a nudge in the right direction. I will always remember him for this act of kindness. Rest in peace Mr. Romanelli. You live on in the hearts of all those you have emotionally touched.

I was a student in one of his classes back in the 1970s. My memories of him are pleasant. God rest his soul.

I remember Mr. Romanelli well. He had a great dry wit about him. Kind is another word the fits him. At Curtis he was well liked by most students who came in contact with him. He was well know for his liking the horses and someone who actually lived his faith. God bless him and all his family

Uncle Charlie was a kind, thoughtful man. I always appreciated his kindness to my mom. My husband Frank appreciated his horse sense too. Our sympathy to you all.

Met Mr. Romanelli at Curtis HS early 1970's. He was my English teacher. Ironically, he taught my older sisters in years prior to me entering the school. On my first day he approached me and asked about my sisters. His warmth and sincerity made me feel comfortable in the new school. He was great teacher. He also had a great sense of humor. He made a boring English class interesting. He was well respected by his peers. True gentleman. RIP Mr. Romanelli you made a difference for a lot of people.
