Not sure what to say?

It has been 18 years since Butch´s passing. For some reason, Butch was in my dreams, last night. As many have stated, Butch was invaluable as a B52 mentor and team member when we worked in Bomb-Nav at the 2nd Bomb Wing at Barkdale AFB 1986-1989. Butch had a remarkable recall of events and pivotal moments while navigating/targeting in B-52s. Pray that his family and friends are doing well, and will re-state the Butch´s goal was to make us all better members of the crew, both inside and...

Beth,

My sincere condolences on your loss. Butch was a great American and we thorougly enjoyed working with him in the B52 Bomb-Nav shop at Barksdale from 1986 to 1989. Butch and I spent hours in the vault trying to figure out how to run the MDPS computer systems because they came without formal training or user's manuals. Butch had a lot of wise advice when dealing with difficult issues. We all mourn your loss.

With Deepest Sympathy,

Beth,

I worked with Butch on Bomber mission planning for over 10 years. The Air Force depended on his expertise to keep the Bombers flying. His contributions have made our nation strong for generations to come. Lest we forget.

Beth & Family,
I have known butch since we worked together in the SSF here at Hill AFB and have continued a working relationship and friendship through the intervening years. I mourn your loss. He was a good man and great to be around. Through this hard time, remember that families are forever. Take care.

BETH
WHAT CAN I SAY, BUT THAT BUTCH WAS A GREAT GUY. IN THE TAX OFFICE HE TOOK ME UNDER HIS WING AND TAUGHT ME HOW TO DO MY JOB RIGHT. IN DOING SO WE BECAME GOOD FRIENDS. I ALWAYS ENJOYED OUR VISITS WHEN HE CAME BACK TO BOSSIER FOR HIS "MEETINGS". HE WAS FUNNY, CARING AND JUST A WONDERFUL FRIEND. I AM GOING TO MISS HIM. I HOPE & PRAY FOR THE BEST FOR ALL OF YOU. (from he who parts his hair in the middle)

I got to know Butch when he worked at Hill AFB as the B-52 SME. I don't think he had an enemy in the world and I considered him a good friend. He will definately be missed.

Beth and Family,
My families prayers are with you. I worked with Butch in Utah and enjoyed visiting with him when he came up here after moving to Florida. He is an inspiration to me as I watched how couragously he approached his illness. He will be greatly missed by the mission planning community.

I was saddened to hear about the death of Mr. Rose. May your fond memories of good times with him bring you comfort in this very difficult time. In sympathy.

Beth and Family,

My sincere condolensces and heartfelt prayers are with you at this time. Butch was a great friend and has been a great example to me ever since his time here in Utah. He will be missed greatly.
