Not sure what to say?

Every year the Florida Southern College ROTC Program hosts a Charles R. Rubado Memorial Golf Tournament that supports a scholarship in Charlie's name and the ROTC Program. Charlie mother and I get there every year and are amazed at how many of his friends and fellow soldiers show up.

Hard to believe that you turned 30 on 7/12/2012. Your mother, me and brother Steve and his family were at Bay Pines National Cemetery on the 12th. We shared some great memories and we all miss you every day. Life is a little hard to handle sometimes knowing that you won;t be walking in the door. Miss you son but we will soldier on.

This Memorial Weekend the Hamrick Family wants to say we appreciate the sacrifice of 2nd Lt. Charles Rubado as well as the sacrifices made by his family.

Hi Charlie!
It's been a while since I've written, but not since I've thought of you. You are missed so much everyday! Thank you again for giving the utmost sacrifice! I'm sure you know that Osama bin Laden was found and killed. I hope that now, you can forever rest in peace. The war is not done, but we are on the right track! Keep smiling down on us! See you soon, brother :)
