Always quick with a story, and just as quick to the rig. I well remember Captain Sanborn from the D shift at Station 8. He and his crew were so much fun, until the bell hit- when they -and the Captain- were all about the job. Another family with firefighting dynasty, Charlie did a great job with the two boys I knew. Both good and decent men.
Time to rest Captain Gadget. You earned it.

I am so sorry to hear of Charlie's passing.. We has a great time working together on SFD... I will truly miss him ... My Sincerest Condolences
