My condolences to the family also. I only learned of the passing of Coach Sanger this morning from a classmate. Not only was he a coach but a mentor who taught me many valuable lessons in life while we mowed the lawns of different high schools putting pocket change in the basketball players pockets. He ensured we went to basketball camp (MU) and other events. I have thought of him often in my life. Peace and Blessings to the family. randy hundley, NE Class of 1982

Condolences to the family of a great guy and teacher! I also worked for him at the Stafford swimming pool, and my husband worked for him at the Mankato pool. At our wedding Chuck told us that they named their son after my husband, Paul! Sharon Wagner, Edwards, CO.

To the family I am so sorry to hear the passing of your father. He was a great man of many things in life. My heart & prayers go out to you all during this time of morning and God Bless you all during this difficult time. I first met Coach in 1978 and he has been apart of my life ever since not only in ball which he helped me thru College & Semi Pros but more importantly in life and it's challenges that it brings to us. He might not be here on earth with us anymore but he will never ever be forgotten by me and my family. RIP Coach you were one of my hero's...

I loved Chuck. I had him for biology at Northeast.. and then was his TA the following year. He was always cracking jokes and had a sense of humor not seen in many teachers. He was a mentor in my life and I will always hold him in my heart.
My condolences to the family and friend, Rest In Peace Chuck.

For those of us that went to Northeast High School, Coach Sanger is an icon. He was a great inspiration to the kids he taught and coached. Even after his players graduated, Coach stayed in contact with a lot of his team and taught them what is was like to be great men.
He will be missed.

Coach, you were one of the best teachers I ever had. I might not have been able to dissect that damn frog but I learned to love science from your teaching. Rest In Peace Coach and thank you for all of the inspiration you gave to your students at Northeast High School.
