As on of the many "swabbies" that grew up within Captain Bligh's sphere of influence, we were truly blessed to have had Charlie as one of the Captains in our young lives. Charlie brought his special blend of humor, warmth and his enthusiastic approach to life into our family; that which we all enjoyed, learned and grew from.

Captain Bligh ran a great ship and life. As he sailed through life he provided love, humor, aid and in general, "the stuff of life" for countless people; friends and strangers alike. It was our great good fortune to sail many seas with him and we wish him well earned "smooth sailing".

Charlie was a wonderful, special man. He lived life to the fullest. He brought a smile when there was a frown to whom ever had the chance to meet him. He will be missed very much. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
