Not sure what to say?

Captain Scherer, some one with a big heart, Loyal, good boss and one heck of a back up.RIP my brother..

Charle was a great husband to Pam and a wonderful father to his kids Chuck and Debbie.

Chuck was a great boss, but most of all a great person with a heart of gold.

My condolences to Pam and the entire family.
I had the opportunity to work as Chucks assistant when he was Captain of the Patrol Division. I must say he was always professional and a fair boss. Between him and Mayra, the Patrol Secretary, there was never a dull moment. I put in for the k9 unit and was given the best opportunity of my career to work with the best partner I ever had, k9 Sonja. I am forever grateful to him for that assignment, thanks for believing in me Major. R.I.P.

As many have said, Chuck was one good cop. I can remember while on patrol, when Chuck came on the radio (as a Sgt. and then Lt.), we were in for some action. RIP, my friend...

Chuck was a great COP and Supervisor as well as being a loyal friend. I would not have been working for CGPD if Chuck had not told me about the job when I ran into him while working a search after a shooting in North Dade. I will miss Chuck very much. He was one of a kind.

So sorry for your loss.

Our prayers go out to Pam, Debbie, Michael and Kaitlin. Chuck was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He was good to animals and had a special touch with Elvis. He worked hard to serve his community.

I was very sorry to hear of Chuck's passing. We worked many years together. He was an outstanding police officer and a great friend. We spent many Saturdays on the golf course trying to take each others money. I'll miss that guy!
