Not sure what to say?

With no newspaper, I did not learn of Chuck's death until last night. He was a wonderful man and indeed had a twinkle in his eye every time I saw him. I met him in 1960 just after moving to Ann Arbor and was a faithful customer for all 57 of those years. To Judy, Linda and his family please know you have my sincerest sympathy.

My sincere condolences to all the Schlanderer family. Charlie was a friend from childhood when we lived around the corner from each other on Rose and Golden Avenue. It is wonderful that his family can continue his legacy. His example is a good one to follow.

Charles was very important in our lives, our wedding bands, many treasures over the years but his warm presence and personality always made us feel good. He was a special person who will be missed by all. Our deepest sympathies to the family. Dave and Carol Cole

Charlie was a wonderful father and Community Booster. I knew him best during the time when his kid were in high school and involved in interscholastic athletics. He was a great asset to our community and I send thanks and blessings to the family.

Chuck was a wonderful man and classmate. I will miss him very much.

Deep heart-felt condolences from the Stan Burns family. We are very saddened by this news and send much love. So many fond, lifelong memories of Charlie and family...

Charles will be terribly missed. My first job was at Schlanderer's while in High School. He was loved by all and he will be cherished in our memories. My condolences.

Tony and I were so saddened to hear of Charlie's passing. He was truly a special man and the world is a better place for his time here. Our condolences to you, Judy. Please know that we are here for you, whatever we can do to help.
