Schneider , Charles J. Charles J. Schneider, 81, of Chicago, IL. Loving husband and best friend of 58 years to Janice (Corbin) Schneider. Devoted father of Ann Schneider, Mary (Nate) Hobaugh, Patty (Todd) Birkeland and Elizabeth (Jean) Fils. Loving grandpa of Andrew Hobaugh, Allison Hobaugh, Scott Birkeland, Maddie Hobaugh, Amanda Birkeland and Elliott Hobaugh. Devoted son to the late Carl and Eleanor Schneider and brother to Tom Schneider, the late Bob Schneider as well as brother-in law to Dorothy (Jim) Gallagher. Dedicated uncle to Katie (Eugene) Byrne, Eileen (Dan) Kirk and Ellen (Jim) Roberts. Dear cousin and lifelong friend to many.
Services were private at Maryhill Cemetery. A memorial service is planned for a future date. The family has asked that any donations be made to Mercy Home for Boys and Girls in his memory. Condolences can be made online at www.lawrencefh.com.

I was lucky to live next to the Schneider’s for 30 years. Mr Schneider was more than a neighbor...he was family. He possessed a kind, funny, gentle and loving dad who always had my back. I will always remember him with an incredible thirst of knowledge, patience and great sense of humor. He was a great role model. Rest well Mr Schneider and give my family a big hug!!!❤❤❤
