Not sure what to say?

Hi uncle Charles. It's Hilda Casey's grandson, Carson. I have many great memories of you... from the cottages on the gulf ....to 4th of July ....to cast net fishing for mullet. Lots of pics and wonderful memories from Hilda too. You are certainly loved and missed.

Just saw this. Heartbreaking. What a wonderfull person. And beautifull family. This world would be a better place with more men like him. Good soul.

A better friend could not be found!

Judge Scruggs was a friend to everyone, I worked for Del McLaughlin, the Circuit Court Commissioner in the Hillsborough County Courthohse Courthouse many msny years, saw many Judges come and go, Judge Scruggs stood out from all the rest. He loved his job, he really cared about people and he was a true Christian man. He was loved by all. My brother went to school with Charles, they were friends. May he forever rest in peace.

My first real interaction with Charles was back in the mid 1990s when he represented an armed robbery/kidnapper defendant. He was an excellent trial lawyer and very polite; a real joy to have as opposing counsel. The defendant had multiple cases and went to trial with three of them. During one of the trials he got a call that his daughter was in a tragic accident. We took a break and I went back to my office to do jury instructions. I knew Charles was going to need the Alibi instructions...

G-daddy, my last one did not make quite sense but...today we were at your service. It was beautiful. We miss you a lot. We wish you would come back FROM THE DEAD! Anyway, your ashes were up front in a little box.

Pam I am so sorry that I could not be at the service today but I had an emergency hearing. If I could do anything for you please let me know. You are in my prayers.

G-Daddy, I miss you a lot. if you had a little computer in heaven and looked this up,it would be a nice thing. I am getting some ashes to always remember you.

Dad, you are my hero, a greater man i will never know. Thank you for sharing your life with me as well as my daughter, your granddaughter, Shailee. Missing you is an understatement.....
