Not sure what to say?

I was saddened when I heard that Charles had passed away. I worked for him at Lackland AFB many years ago and was blessed to be part of his team that closed Brooks. He was like the little pink bunny—going to the very end of those days! I will remember him for the many times he shared his wisdom, personnel knowledge and, of course, his humor with us. He will be missed by all the people who knew him. My heart goes out to you, Judy, and to all of his family. Charles was kindness itself!

Charles was a true gentleman and a person of impeccable character whom I greatly admired. He will be welcomed with open arms in his next assignment. He will be missed by many friends. My prayers go out to his family.

My heartfelt condolences to the Shinn family.

In loving memory for Mr. Shinn. He was an awesome person and one of the greatest supervisors ever. My deepest sympathy goes out to the Shinn family.

I want to light a candle in loving memory for Mr.Shinn. He was an awesome person and one of the greatest supervisors ever.

Brooks City-Base Civilian Personnel Folks

We loved Charles and were so very disappointed to be unable to attend his service on Wednesday. Charles was simply the BEST.

Charles "Charlie" Shinn was one of the finest leaders and examples I ever had the priviledge to work with in the Air Force. When Brooks closed, it was a traumatic time for people, but he and his team showed nothing but compassion and genuine caring for those he helped transition with their lives. I cherish every meeting and conversation I had with him. He truly was a Christian light to all who knew him. To all of the Shinn family, God bless you in your time of grief and loss. Phillipians...

Charles was a wonderful, Godly man; an inspiration to us all.
Our friendship goes back 35 years where our families first met @ church in Colorado Springs.
We have known & loved his family ever since. He will be missed.
