What I remember most about your father was his kind and gentle manner in everything he did. He was most certainly a shining example of how life should be lived.

I know how awful it must be for you not being able to be at his funeral. What is important is how much you were always there when he needed you. Take peace and comfort in that. I know he did.

I spoke to the Rabbi and your brother last night and wanted to share with you what I told them:
There is a statement in Perkei Avot, "Say little and do much", that personified your Dad. In his own quiet and modest way he went about taking care of his wife, family and shul. Chisuk Emuna knew that they could count on Charlie Shore…I suspect he was too nice to ever say “no” to the shul.
