Charles M. Sloan M.D.

Dr. Sloan or "Chuckles" or Peaches" as he was affectionately called was an excellent anesthesiologist and a favorite physician colleague of the MDMC perioperative nursing staff. He was kind and gentle and respectful of all---both patients and staff. It was always a great day when my assignment was on the team with him, and I was fortunate to have many of those days which provided inspiration for some good "stories" and memories. I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Sloan both as a student nurse doing my elective in the OR and then as a staff member following graduation. He always had a twinkle in his eye and sometimes was somewhat mischievous but did so in kindness. I shall always have fine memories of him. He was a brilliant anesthesiologist .
