The Sowers family and the Kemp family had several things in common:
1. They both had teens the same age in Warren County High School from 1959-1964, a highly charged period of racial integration.
2.They we’re both members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Bill Kemp and Anna Sowers taught Sunday School and also chaperoned the youth group, Luther League.
3. Those older kids each had a sibling, a younger sister.
