Not sure what to say?

I loved my long talks with Charlie. I always learned so much. His faith and positive attitude were truly inspirational. He was kind, gentle and funny. He and Anne were a perfect couple. They both speared love wherever they went.

We have fond memories of working with Charlie on the mission committee at Hidenwood Church. He was a delightful person and had a smile that was always at the ready. He will be greatly missed.

We were so very, very sorry to hear of his death. He was such a kind and giving person, always friendly and caring to others, a true "southern gentleman" in every sense of the term. If we can help in any way, please let us know. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all in your loss.

To the Spencer Family, we are thinking of you all at this very sad time. Michael and Barbara Miller, Douglas Drive Neighbors

I will miss Charlie, a friend, neighbor and a true Gentleman. I feel privileged to have know him. God bless him and his family.

Tripp, Ned and families...I was absolutely shocked to read of the passing of your Dad. He and I go back so many years, to Douglas Drive, to be exact. The world has lost a kind, considerate, caring individual that always had a smile on his face and a kind word to everyone. Please accept my and Joan's most heartfelt condolences and always remember that "Charlie" was an exceptional person that cared for his family as well as those around him.

I was President of VA Peninsula Rotary Club the same year that Charlie was President of Newport News Rotary. We worked together on Rotary projects during that time period and it was a pleasure to be associated with this generous man. A true gentleman and lived up to the Rotary motto of "Service above Self."

Charlie Spencer, always a gentleman, respected by his colleagues and friends.

Gabriela and I are saddened at the news of Charles Spencer´s passing. Charlie was a gentleman, a man of character and dignity. His impact was powerful, generous, and generous of spirit. He will long be celebrated! Our thoughts are with Anne Doug, Trip and Ned, and all of his extended family.
