Not sure what to say?

Our deepest sympathies to the Spies family from the Jerry Day family (Emmetsburg). I cannot express the sorrow I feel on your loss. Chuck was a fine man and I have very fond memories of him and his friendship with my Mom and Dad. I remember the times that he played Santa Claus for me and my brother and sisters has he visited us on Christmas Eve, and I remember his guiding hand on my shoulder as he stood with me when I was confirmed. Chuck touched many of our lives and he was loved, I will...

Uncle Chuck had a way of holding you in his hands when he greeted you. He gently but firmly held onto a handshake longer than most, and he looked you right in the eyes the entire time. It always said stay a while, you are my friend and I give you my undivided attention. He loved to tell stories of days gone by, and never in a gossipy way. If you or someone near to you was a part of the story, he made that person seem like the lead character. We would of course forget many details, but...

To the family of Charlie Spies. I have meet Lucy's little Charlie a few times and he was a very quiet person and very very nice person all in one package. I only heard wonderful things about Charlie from Lucy at Lifetouch. Lucy and I worked togeather and what a privlege to work with someone so caring and dear. That is why I can say that Chatlie was so well taken care of and truly loved in so many ways. However I want to tell you that you all are in my prayers and I will be thinking of you...

Lucy and your dear family, Chuck was the best brother-in-law anyone could have had. I thank God everyday for being part of this family. We have memories to last a lifetime, holidays, okoboji, lakewoods, just the time we spent together. He was always handing me his car keys and saying take Lucy shopping! How many guys would do that? Just Chuck. I know Bob was waiting patiently at the gates with a cribbage board plus saying thank you God I'm not alone with these 3 girls. I love you all. ...

An Irish blessing for our good friend and nieghbor. May the road rise up to meet you, May the wind be always at your back, May the sun shine warm upon your face, and the rains fall soft upon your fields, and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand. We will miss Chuck! The Brodericks
