Not sure what to say?

I still can not beleive that Charles G Spoonhour is no longer with us. My symapthises go out to his family and loved ones, I was the manager for Spoon on his Southeastern Community College team from 1978-1980. What great memories and great fun it was working with the man. I always thought of him as a second father to me.

SCC class of 1980, Univ of Arknasas class of 1992.

Dear Vicki,

I don't know you but I played for Coach Spoonie as we called in at SCC in Burlington,IA from 1978-1980, Coach has been and always will play a great role in my life. He taught you so much more than just basketball and he also was my Gin card playing buddy on road trips...Coach Spoonhour MUCH LOVE 4U...Darryl Sigh (Chicago's Dunbar Voc)

Dear Spoonhour family,
Coach Spoonhour was our coach at Rocky Comfort High School in 1961. Yes, he did indeed drive our teams to games. One summer he even drove the bus to take students to swimming lessons at Bella Vista. He was an extraordinary person who was a tremendous influence on the students at our school. I am so sorry to hear of your loss.

I remember a saying of his that went something like this...if all you had was 50 cents and potential, all you could get is a coke, you have to work hard to make that potential worth anything. Charlie made it sound funnier and better. Glad he got to see "our St. Louis Cardinals"...

Rest in Peace Coach Spoon

As a recent alumnus of SLU when Charlie arrived, I took great pride in the program he developed. College basketball, the SLU community, and the world have lost a truly inspiring man. God Bless Spoons!!!

Dear Vicki,
Please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss and America's loss. Spoon was truly an American treasure.
I'll always remember the great time we had the first time we met at Ed Janka's summer party years ago when I drove you and Spoon back to your hotel after the party and we stopped for a nightcap and ended up watching the sun come up.Every time subsequent to that first meeting, whenever he visited Cleveland, we would get together. He always treated my like a...
