Not sure what to say?

Dad - It has been 13 months now since you have gone to be with the Lord. We miss you so much but know you are in a much better place. We are taking good care of Mom (you would be so proud of how good she is doing although she misses you greatly). Until we are together again.........Love, Jaynette

To Margit and all of the extended Stepp family,

With fondest remembrance of a wonderful man, and a wonderful family. You all remain in or thoughts and prayers. Every note of music that comes from my Derby guitar, goes out into the world as a humble testament to a great guy. Bless you all. John Janet and Chris Widgren,

3-15-2010 Just googled Jaynette's name thinking of friends from highschool and found out that Charlie had died. So sorry to hear of your loss. I think of you all often. Tell all hello for me. Love ya, Debbie Berry West

I watched the Derby being played by the USAF Academy band several times. I wish to express our condolences from myself and my wife Donna.

Our steel guitar builders are very special people, and our entire community is diminished by their loss. Derby steels, and the music played on them, are a fine and most fitting legacy of Charlie Stepp's life and his dedication to this unique instrument. Those lucky enough to own one have something that was touched by the hand of Charlie, as they themselves have been.

My most sincere condolences to Margit and their respective families.

Saluda show!

Never met Charlie but we talked many times over the phone!
Bought my Derby from him and what an awesome steel!
I'll miss his jokin around with me and treating me like he had known me all my life!
Thanks Charlie!
