Charles A. Stocker, 89, of Pen Argyl, passed away, Sunday, October 9, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hecktown Oaks Campus.  He was the husband of the late Kay J. (Smale) Stocker, who passed away, September 30, 2021.


Born in Bangor, June 18, 1933, he was the son of the late Elwood F. and Cynthia (Biller) Stocker-Baker.


For more than 40 years, he was employed as the meat manager for ACME Markets.  He later worked for more than 20 years for the Pen Argyl Area School District.  He was also the owner and operator of Lehigh Valley Floor Service.


Charles was a 1951 graduate of Bangor High School and proudly served his country during the Korean War in the US Navy.


He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Pen Argyl and the former Zion Methodist Church.


He served on the Weona Park Board, was a member of Easton Lodge, F & A M, and was a member of DeNardo’s Coffee group during the Pen Argyl Centennial.  


He is survived by a daughter, Kris A. Baker and her husband David of Wind Gap, three grandchildren, Randi Lynn Fulmer and her husband Robert, Bryn Timlin and her husband Robert, Sydney Wujcik and her husband Adam, four great grandchildren, Raelynn and Robert Fulmer, and Remy and Rory Timlin, nieces and nephews and many dear friends.


He was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Snoddy, and brothers, Elwood F. Stocker, Theodore “Ted” Stocker and Martin Schmauder.


Funeral services will be held, Friday, October 14, 2022, at 11 AM, at the Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, 126 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Pen Argyl.  There will be viewing hours Friday beginning at 9:30 AM until time of services at the funeral home.  Interment will be private at Fairview Cemetery, Pen Argyl.

Charlie was the hardest worker at WGMS. He was never too busy to lend a hand when I needed something for my classroom, and always had a Hello or Good Morning for me. My condolences to his family.

No regrets but you were a wonderful daughter and now they are happy together. You are in my prayers.
