Not sure what to say?

I remember col swilley well, always a gentleman, Charlene hope all well with you and your family

Dear Myra, sorry about your loss, I remember, "Mr. Swilley" very well, fun times with Charlene. I realize this is very untimely yet I am just finding this information and wanted to express my condolences and would like to hear from Charlene, Now am Michelle Christman, was "Mike" Michelle Evans, we rode horses together and moved to Oceanside from Camp P. Mr. Swilley was a great guy, Michelle Christman

Mrs Swilley, your husband was my first commanding officer when I (2d Lt) joined Comm Co during Jun 1965. I have never forgotten his leadership and his patience with a somewhat irresponsible young officer. It was a loss and he will be missed.

Major General B. Don Lynch, USMC (Ret)

Dear Myra I just received the e-mail from Marty Lazar informing about Charlie. Charlie was a good friend and a good guy. We enjoyed many great rounds of golf at Quantico. My deepest sympathies to you and your family. Elwin Hart Federal Way, Wa.

Charlie was a great person. His quiet and friendly manner would light up a room. He was devoted to his wife, Myra, and to his family. He was kind to all. We were honored to be able to call him our friend. Rest in peace, good and faithful servant of the Lord.

Myra, we go back a long way! When I saw the news of Charlie's passing in the paper, it brought back so many memories. I think the last time we saw you both was at the golf course at Pendleton a loooong time ago. Our paths just haven't crossed even though we don't live that far apart. I could not find an address for you so am grateful that you can be contacted this way. Please know that we will hold you close in thought and prayer at this difficult time. May God Bless You and your family.

Myra, We feel so blessed to have known Charlie. We had so much fun with him at our football club parties. We wish he could have lived to see that darned coach fired. We will miss him. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. With sincere sympathy

3/10/11 Charlie was a true leader. I had the pleasure of serving with him four times. He was my first boss in 1954 and again in Vietnam in 1966. Regards to Myra and family.
