May 14, 1930 - Jul. 10, 2018 MIDWEST CITY Charles Roy Tilden, 88, passed away on July 10, 2018 in Spencer, OK. He was born to Charles and Pauline Tilden in St. Paul, MN on May 14, 1930. He grew up in Rosemount, MN graduating from Rosemount High School in 1948. He joined the U.S. Air Force serving his country in Minnesota, Ohio, Japan, Alaska and retired at Tinker AFB in 1971. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Chloe Karner, Elaine Elli and Charlotte LeMay. He is survived by his wife, Loretta of 45 years of the home; brother, Jack and Phyllis Tilden of North Carolina; children, Diane and Rick Taylor of Spencer, Guy Tilden of OKC, Pam and Kenneth Pendley of MWC, Sue and Stephen Fennell of Tahlequah, Todd and Wendy Tilden of MWC, Charles Tilden of MWC, and Caty and Joshua Sohl of Covington, grandchildren, Rachelle Muse, Henry and Bethany Fennell, James Fennell, Quince and Sarah Fennell, Chloe and Seth Burgett, Clare and Matthew Reynolds, Brianna Tilden, Tyler Tilden, Nikki Powell, and Caleigh Sohl. He enjoyed cooking for Luthahoma Church Camp and St. Mark Lutheran for 45 years. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and bird watching. He loved helping his children with their projects and serving the community. He will be missed by family and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 13, from 4:00pm-8:00pm. The funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday July 14, 2018 at Bill Eisenhour NE Funeral Home with a private interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: smiletrain.org
