Charles (Vern) Titus Sr.,71, Son of William and Hazel Titus was born August 20, 1942 he passed away on September 15, 2013 in Osceola, Iowa. Vern was married to Willene Titus in Des Moines, IA on June 22, 1963. Vern worked at Armstrong Rubber and Tire Company from 1968 until 1998; he retired in 2009 from Prairie Meadows Race Track and Casino where he was a Housekeeping Supervisor then a Valet Supervisor. Vern was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his children; John (Stephanie) Titus, Urbandale, Charles (Heather) Titus Jr. and Jason Titus from Murray, IA, his sister Martha (Ken) Epping, Pleasant Hill, grand children; Katie, Collin, Courtney and Tori. Vern is preceded in death by his Wife Willene Titus, his parents, brothers; William Titus and Larry Enos. A memorial service will be held on Thursday September 19, 2013 at the Murray Baptist Church in Murray, IA at 1:00. Burial of the cremated remains will be held at a later date.
