Charles William Tobias "Poochie" "Big Chuck"

Charles William Tobias "Poochie" "Big Chuck", age 35 was born on October 11, 1985 in New Orleans, La., on Thursday, September 9,2021, Charles gained his wings, and entered the gates of Heaven.  He attended Walter L. Cohen Senior High School.  After high school, Charles worked for Tex La Miss as a mechanic and car transporter, and he also worked as a lawn caretaker. Anyone who knew Charles knew that he had a love and compassion for kids and cars. He was heavily involved in the 504 Whips Car Club. Charles loved his family and children; his family and children loved and adored him. He always went above and beyond for each and every one. He loved to laugh and have a good time. He enjoyed boiling his meats and eating it too! Nevertheless, let’s not forget about all the TicToks that he enjoyed doing with the kids. Charles was one of a kind. He touched the hearts of many. As his grandmother called him, a Father-Goose, he loved caring for everyone’s children. Charles leaves to cherish in his loving memories, his parents: Timphony Tobias Jenkins (Terrone) and Charles William Beverly Sr.(Brenda); his grandparents: Elder Thomas and Dorothy Johnson, Lynell Cummings and Pauline Velazquez; a loving friend, Nakia “Kitty” Weatherspoon; son, Montrell McDaniels; children he raised and loved: Darrion and De’Ron Weatherspoon, Demi and Deon Perry, and Derrick Marshall; two sisters: Searra Tobias and Kerra T. White(Thomas); three brothers: Jayton Tobias Sr (Tia), Charles Williams Beverly Jr., and Tre Moten; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Welcoming Charles into the gates of heaven were his brother, De’Ron Andrew Tobias; his grandfather William Draine Jr.; great-grandparents Frank and Martha Hood; Great grandmother, Mary Ellis; one great aunt, Earline Draine; one uncle, Edwin T. Hookfin Sr, and one cousin, C. Jamie Tobias. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. Visitation from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Interment Providence Memorial Park.
