I grew up next door to the Townsend family in Sayreville, NJ. My Mom and Dad knew him as "Red". Being much younger, I called him "Mr. Townsend." When I got older, I started working for Townsend Allied during my summers home from college, and then later for Townsend Brothers Moving and Storage.
