As friends of the family, I still remember the huge photo of the 1974 Xenia Tornado that hung in his basement. Always getting "the shot," Chuck was as close as he could get to it. RIP, Chuck.

My condolences to the family. I remember as a child growing up in Dayton,OH Mr. Upthegrove being everywhere at once it seemed. It was though if Chuck Upthegrove didn't film it. It didn't happen. He was indeed the man! A legend in Dayton TV.
