Not sure what to say?

If it was broke, he fixed it
if it came apart, he put it back together
If he wanted it, he made it

still remember him after all these years

I first met Charlie in the mid-seventies. It was associated with his business. My first impression (as I was just a teenager)was that he was a patient kind skilled individual. He taught and shared with me a great deal of skills and knowledge which I still use to this day. A rare person such as Charlie will always be missed.
My profound sympathy to the family.

I started going to Dillsburg Aeroplane Works in 1979. I was 19 years old. I needed materials to build a race car. I met Charlie and he asked me what I was building. I told him about my project and some of the difficulty I was having forming the metal. He grabbed me by the arm and showed me how to make a tool to form aluminum in a curve. At 56 years old I still use the tool and will always cherish the way Charlie took interest in my projects and his knowledge. My sincere condolences to his...

SAD! Met Charlie in 1970 at a E.A.A Chapter 70 meeting in Allentown Pa. Now living in NH, I would see Charlie at Oshkosh a couple of times and had the pleasure of buying from the business over the years. Man, could he and his employees put product out the door. Fast, efficient and honest. Great guy!

So sad to hear Charlie passed on. I met Charlie when I was a teen and started to modify my classics. I think it was in 1980.
Always went back to him for whatever I needed, always in a good mood and glad to see ya come back. I wish someone in the family could keep his dream going.
RIP Charlie.

I was privileged to meet Charlie on a bike ride in the area a few years ago when one of my riders suggested we stop by. Charlie was a legend in the Harrisburg Bicycle Club; known for his strong bicycling abilities and for the bike-building classes he instructed in years past. Charlie soon had our group gathered around and he told us of building the large 3-story chicken barn and past Governors of our state helping with the chores ... and building a business here on the back roads near...

Charlie was one really special guy with an unbounding amount of energy. We knew Charlie from the local bicycle club. He brought and made possible many pleasant memories with his 17 mile "Evening Flights" throughout the summers and early falls 77-83. As light got shorter in the fall riders had to ride faster and faster to beat dark. Charlie loved the idea and welcomed newcomers to his farm to join in the fun whether it was riding or a picnic.

Charlie is a legend in the metals industry. He was a true professional and it was an honor to have known him. He will be missed but never forgotten.
