Not sure what to say?

Charles Voland Sr. was a dad to all our neighborhood kids. He was always seen building memories with his art, fixing bikes and just being available for any needs. Thanks Mr. Voland

Grace and family,
So sorry to hear about your father's passing. We did not know until today (6/28) that it happened. I would have come to pay my respects.
We will keep him in our prayers.
Sincerely,

Grandpa voland was an awesome guy all around, he was so much fun when we were kids and Gina and I would ride our bikes over and see him and grandma. He will be missed by everyone's lives he touched personally and anyone who in general he ever met.
Angela, chuckie, Eric and gina, mom and i send our deepest sympathy, we know how much he meant to u all.

Upon Dad calling me to tell me of Uncle Chuck's passing I was reminded of the...

I knew Chuck and his wife through his son Charles. I was a freshman in college and took his son trapping with me along the Ohio Canal and the Cuyahoga River. Chuck senior had a ''50's era Willys station wagon that he allowed us to use to check traps. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of his son, Chuck. I've thought of him many times.

We used to go to the Westside Market a buy meat from I believe a cousin of his, who had a butcher shop in the market.

I loved Mr. Voland. He was like a second father to me and I'm sure to others growing up on Bridgeview. Thinking back makes me smile when I remember how he would shake his head at something John and I got caught doing. We were in trouble a LOT together but Mr. V never got mad. God Bless you Mr. Voland.
