Not sure what to say?

Has it been 6 years? I still remember Charley like I saw him yesterday. Over the years I played with The Bluegrass Survivors and Turtle Creek Charley and I spent many late evening sharing a cocktail and great conversation. I still miss him. Now that we have also lost Big Al I feel as though big chapter in my life has sadly ended. It is rare that a day goes by I don't remember the music, the comradeship and the good times in those bands. Still miss you Charley.

Charley was always the Ron Swanson of the group, whether Piper Road, Bluegrass Survivors or Turtle Creek Cajun Band. He invented the character. His dry humor and insight into life are missed.

Charley, I will always remember you and Tyri and 'Windy and Warm' and 'Shady Grove' in your beautiful baritone voice. You will be missed.

Wow! This is an unexpected tragedy. I think I speak for all of his musician friends here in Wisconsin when I say we will miss him greatly.

Member of the Frustration's. So sorry to hear of Charley's Passing. You have my deepest sympathy and condolences. Charley was a great guitarist and musician. We had a great time while in the band but, as we all went different ways to further our education, we all lost touch.
