Not sure what to say?

I´m deeply saddened by the loss of such an inspirational person in my life. As a kid, I often found myself in Mr. Walukas´s office needing discipline. He would look at me with a smile and say, "What did you do now, and how can we work on not seeing each other so often?" He had a way of leveling with me that really got through, and he always gave me the space to talk. His guidance truly impacted me and shaped my behavior for the better. He was one of a kind, and they simply don´t make...

I am saddened to hear of Chuck's passing. I had an office down the hallway from his office at Mayfield High School. His support of staff, students, and use of his wonderful sense of humor made even difficult situations bearable. As a school psychologist, his support with challenging cases was always valued. But late Friday afternoons, he would always stop at my door, pretend to be enjoying a cigar and would say, "That's a wrap!" What a wonderful gentleman.

Chuck was a part of the administration that hired me 35 years ago. Professional, hilarious and caring are the first adjectives that came to mind when learning of his passing. He was quite the character. Along with so many other greats, Chuck helped formed the teacher that I am today. He will be missed around here. My deep condolences to the entire Walukas family.

Mr. Walukas was my guidance counselor. I would go to his office after school and he really got me to open up to him

Walukas family, I am so very sorry to hear of coaches passing. He was my freshman basketball coach at St.Joseph High School in 1967. He was a patient, encouraging, helpful man that I will never forget. In the years after I graduated I would often run into him at tournament games at Euclid and two Years ago at NDCL. He would always greet me with a hi Rick and a smile. I in turn would always say hi coach even when I was seventy years old. R I P coach. We´ll play some one on one on the other...

I had the pleasure of working with Chuck at Mayfield high school for over 25 years. We were both principals and worked very closely with each other in performing our jobs!! I always found Chuck to be extremely professional and kind!!! He was extremely well respected by the students and staff!!! I always enjoyed our working relationship and always knew that any decision Chuck made was always in the best interest of his students!! He will be missed by many!! My sincerest and deepest sympathy to...

So sorry to hear of Mr Waluksas´ death. We spent many hours in his office talking about life and looking at pictures. He help me through many hard days at school. He also wrote a lovely reference letter for me one time when I was downtown.

Chuck and I go back a long time. From the time I attended Cleveland St. Joseph High School and the times I'd see him while high school games. We'd always chat, catchup and laugh. What a nice guy he was. Always smiling and always had a story to tell. Prayers and thoughts to his wife and family. RIP, Chuck. You did good.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. Deepest sympathies Roberta Latterner
