Not sure what to say?

Knew him well during our High School days. We were band members and yes he was a great guy. As usual we loose track of our teenage friends and sometimes have a hard time remembering. Charles stood out to me because he was a good friend, we just clicked.

My condolences and rest in peace my good friend.

To Beth and Family,
What a shock! Last time I saw "Ski" was when I played his son's wedding in Oct 14 where he came up to the organ and talked with me a few minutes. I am so glad I had the opportunity to meet such a wonderful man who tried to share "the word" of God through his music. I remember him playing his guitar at Aldersgate for the dinner gatherings as he loved to entertain! I will always remember what he shared in a happy light!
God Bless You all and hope you find peace. ...

On behalf of the USS Wasp Association we send our heart felt sympathies to Charles's extended family, fiends and former shipmates.

We are very grateful for his long service to our country and for his dedication to his family and community.

Chairman - USS Wasp Assocaiton

To the Watzlavick family, I had the honor of working with a man, a patriot, deputy, and a brother for many years at the Sheriff's office. I have wonderful memories working with Ski, and I shall cherish them for along time.

May you rest in peace in god's hands Ski. You will be missed my brother.

Thank you for sharing your husband , father , father in-law and grandfather with me and the Chesapeake Sheriiff's Office for the lasts 20 years. It has been a pleasure and blessing to have known Charles . I will miss having that comfort in seeing him around work and at social events . Thank you for allowing me to visit him and let him know that I loved him and I always knew he had my back . May ski rest in peace . Captain : Wiiliam G James III
