Not sure what to say?

I was a student of Professor Weigel´s in Torts. Prof Weigel was always kind to me, professional and a great teacher. He was an inspiration to me.

I miss you walking thru the door.

I had the privledge only to met you once at your home when I shared the 4th of July with you and Garry. I was here in Houston with out my family and you all took me in as one of your own.

I very much enjoyed the stories you had shared with me about your collections. You were so impassioned about each of the items that you showed me that I will never forget them. I was looking forward to you meeting my family when they arrived but they never got the priviledge to do so. For that I am...

To the Family of Charles J. Weigel:

I was one of the lucky ones. I strolled into Torts 1 at South Texas with little knowledge of the law and no knowledge about what a "tort" was. My last name came up fast on the recitation list. Weigel called my name and I stood. I was grilled for a full 45 minutes over a Houston case involving a man grabbing a tray at a cafeteria. It all sounded so innocent at the time, but it's definitely the greatest 45 minute learning experience of my life. ...

I have had the privilege to work for you for a short time. But every moment was a blessing, to be surrounded by your knowlege, insight, and encouragement. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be part of your life and the guidance to make something of mine. You will be greatly missed.

Professor Weigel touched so many lives through his teaching, compassion, wit, and humility. I am honored to call him my friend. He will be missed in so many ways. My deepest sympathy to Susie, Vicki, Charlie, Gary and the grandchildren; he loved you all deeply.

Professor Weigel was a wonderful educator and a treasure at
South Texas College of Law. I am honored to say that I was a student of this great man, having taken his Legal Medicine class in my last year of law school.
Professor Weigel, thank you for allowing us to learn by your example and hear your legendary stories. Your greatest gift was your willingness to share yourself, your time and knowledge. God bless you and thank you for being you. You will be missed by all whose lives...

To the Weigel family:
Although I did not have Professor Weigel as a student at South Texas, I recall of how well thought of he was by his students and peers.
It is interesting how paths cross in life, when almost 15 years later , I learned more about him through his daughter Susie as we became friends through our daughters' soccer team. I know he was loved deeply by his family.
Our deepest sympathies to you in this time of sorrow.
Diane, Phil and Jordan Wetherbee

I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Weigel was an extremely kind and giving individual, who always took time for those who needed help. He will be forever in my mind in his Jeep flying around the corner, hair blowing in the wind.

My prayers are with you all.
