Not sure what to say?

I´m so sorry that I missed the passing of Mr. Wellman. It was my pleasure to be able to see him at Assumption for a gathering and have some words with him and tell him thank you for being tough on me when I was in school my father had left our family and my mom was having a hard time reeling me in. I´m thankful for Mr. Wellman, ( and my mentor Mr. Odell)- two teachers/administrators in my life who kindly tried to help me do better in school and it eventually worked, ten years later!!!! I...

Charles was my principal at Happy Valley. He was scary to a young kid always getting into trouble and sent to the office. However one week I somehow got lucky and received the honor. To join Mr. Wellman in his office for the weekly prize of having a ice cream bar and a chat. He was a very nice man and reminded me of Adam West from Batman. I ran into him at Miller Arnason decades later and he remembered me. He was a good leader and I'm sure he made a difference. I will never forget our ice...

I loved Chuck ( Mr Wellman) He was my 5th grade teacher in a split class Patti McGinnis and I were a couple of his favorite students. Then he ended up marrying my sister in laws mother so I got to see him thru out the years. I still have a candle that his wife Darlene came to Roosevelt School and taught our class to make. My mom loved that candle so much. Love you Mr Wellman had I known I would be at your Celebration of Life

One correction. Chuck was born in Richland Center Wisconsin which is about 60 miles west of Madison.

Chuck is so missed by many, I met him at Shuksan Middle School when are sons were there as PTA President we worked well together and later with Pat, sending love & prayers to Pat & Family
