Not sure what to say?

When we were kids I clearly remember Charlie being a huge Football fan. He got me to join him on our first city team " Nepean Rams " where we both played defence. Charlie was a cornerback and myself on the defensive line. He had already been my best friend for several years. A relationship that will last forever. But little did I know at that time this would only be the beginning of many crazy adventures together . Miss you Charlie, more than I can say ..

One summer the Family was staying in a campground in Whiterock (just south of Vancouver). There was a drive-in about 10 miles away playing "Alien". Dad was too cheap to take us so Charlie talked me into biking there via miles and miles of rural roads. We snuck into the theatre and sat at the back near a speaker and enjoyed the show. Then we had to bike back along the same roads in the dead of night. By this time a terrible fog had rolled in and of course we didn´t have lights or anything on...

I dated Charlie in High School and although we didn't stay in touch after the 1990s he definitely made a big impact on my life. He reached out to me in November of 2020 and we had a phone call about a book that he was writing about his life. I thought that we would talk again, but now I realized that he is no longer of this world. Sending you lots of love Charlie. xo

I would not be able to complete my Phd with Charlie's support to take in his team from Mergermarket to Xportreporter and later IIIIcorp from 2007 to 2018. My teaching in Business and Finance journalism still uses the model from Mergermarket you created and your spirit lives on.

Ever and ever............ Tom

I can't imagine it's been three years since you left Charlie... Norie & I remembered you last week and the early days of Mergermarket, a news organization you created with a major difference... Even today when I file stories for other publications, I still call them "opps"... You created opportunities for many of us, and though our hard work and determination have helped us climb up, you gave us that opportunity and start. May you rest in eternal peace, knowing you made a difference in...

"In memory of Charles Welsh, whose leadership and kindness will forever inspire us. Your legacy lives on in the work we continue to do."

Was missing you today and then discovered that it was the anniversary of your passing. I wish you were here so I could thank you for the tremendous impact you had on my life.

Not a day goes by that I don't think of you Charlie. I still can't believe nor understand how this happened. One day, perhaps, one day. I miss you bro.
