Charles White

What a great guy! Years age my children met Charles at Heritage Hall. They were shocked that he remembered me from college. That meeting elevated the way my kids viewed me. He gave them autographed Heisman cards.

My condolences goes out to Charles' family and love ones. May you be comforted by cherished memories he left as he was a football player who won the 1979 Heisman Trophy while playing for the University of Southern California and went on to an NFL career. And may our loving God provide the family with comfort and support at this time.

Charles was an awesome man amazing human being who loved and valued his time with family, and dear close friends. A very happy man who was a true friend to anyone he met. Brother, you are on the Mount Rushmore of running backs in College Football. You put on one of the greatest performances in the Rose Bowl against Ohio State. The greatest runner in the history of USC. Even over OJ and Marcus Allen. Now that's saying something. John Robinson said that you were the toughest player he ever coached.
