Not sure what to say?

Was one of my favorites pastors ever in the 70's.

I remember Pastor Charles. He was my Director of Missions when I was the Pastor of Broadman Baptist Church in Cuyahoga Falls. He was very supportive of my ministry and cared about each Pastor in association. I only learned of his passing yesterday, March 3, 2025. I have been pastoring here in Illinois since 2002. My prayers are with the family and those who mourn. May God bless and bring comfort.

Charles became a good friend of my husband when he was pastoring Broadman Baptist Church in Cuyahoga falls, Ohio. My husband has often referred, in his sermons, to Charles and the wisdom and help that Charles provided. While searching the internet, looking for Charles, we discovered here that he had gone to be with the Lord nine years ago. Such a loss for his family, friends, and the Christian communities where he served. Rest assured that his service to the Lord continues through fellow...

Bobbie and family: Just now discovered your loss when I Google'd Charles and found his obituary. You two are such special friends in my memory of the time we spent together in Fairmont. Love and comfort to you, and prayers as you continue life on this side. Someday there will be joyous reunions all around!

Dear Bobbie and family:
My thoughts and prayers have been with you during this time. Reverend Whitlock was an exceptional person who loved our Lord. Our paths crossed twice; first when he was Minister to a small church in WV where my Mother and Sister attended; second, when he came to Ohio to serve and I attended Green Baptist Church in Greensburg. I was unable to attend the Services, but you all were in my thoughts that day. May God Bless you,

To the Whitlock family. Charles was loved by all who knew him. I have many fond memories of him and the whole family. I am thankful he brought me to God and I pray for you all.

This man was a true shepherd. He herded all people into his fold and nurtured them no matter what their beliefs. He did this lovingly, firmly. and in God's name. I am so saddened by his loss, but so grateful for his existence. I will see Charles in every good thing.

To me, Charles was the epitome of a good Christian man. Gentle, loving and kind.

Bobbie and Family:
I am so very sorry for your loss. We know that the Lord will comfort you as only He can. Charles was such a lovely Christian man and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was a man of great spirit, integrity, leadership and one of the best Christians this old world has ever known.
Until we meet again at Jesus' feet. God Bless!
