Not sure what to say?

To the family of Mr. Wilder: He was always a gentleman and very kind-hearted. During our several summer school sessions together I learned a great deal from him about how to handle difficult situations. I am really sorry to learn of his passing. I wish you peace.

It was a pleasure and a honor for my family to know Mr Wilder. My boys attended East Linden Elem. we walked to school and it was great seeing him in the neighborhood during these walks. I have to agree with everyone else he always had a kind word and a smile on his face. I hope that his family finds peace and serenity in this great loss. Thank you Mr Wilder for keeping us safe. Godspeed.

To the Wilder Family,
I met Charles at A & M in 1970. I have not communicated with him since 1972 but he has been in my heart and memories since that time. His smile and humorous, lovng personality has remained with me. I know that your memories of him will sustain you. Remember that he is not gone but is waiting for us to join him when we too return Home.

Dear Wilder Family,
I was the Secretary at East Linden Elementary School from 1992-1999, and knew Mr. Wilder as our Safety and Security person. He was always a gentleman - friendly and kind to students, parents and staff. It was a pleasure to have him stop in and check on us - he made us feel secure. My deepest sympathy - Shirley Wohlwend

Uncle Charles & Little Luis in NICU

To our Dearest Uncle Charles,
You are going to be so greatly missed. It was just two years ago that my Uncle Charles was sitting in the NICU holding my two pound little miracle baby. He assured me that he was a fighter and that in our family we never give up. We, didn't give up and Luis is now 2 years old and is as healthy and happy as my other 2 children were at his age. I will always instill the Memories and stories within my children, you will never be forgotten we love you and will...

"My deepest sympathy for all who lost Charles. He has been a member of my family since I was a teenager. He was a great asset to our family and was dearly loved. He will be missed very much. I come to peace knowing he will be with my Auntie Andrea again. We will always hold him in our hearts and prayers.
With much love, Beth Gerhardstein

To the Family of Charles,
Charles was a friend and colleague of mine in the Department of Safety and Security for twelve years. In that time we shared numerous assignments and worked in adjacent areas. He was a man who would "always have your back" during difficult situations. Most importantly, I can not remember a time when Charles did not have a smile on his face, a warm greeting, and a firm handshake. He will be missed.

To the Wilder Family:
I had the pleasure of working with Charles at Columbus Public Schools Safety and Security Department. We also worked several summers together at Fort Hayes High School. He was always a pleasure to be around and was very kind and helpful to everyone he came in contact with. I am truly blessed to have known him. He was also very kind to my daughters when they were young- they loved talking to "35". You are in my prayers- and know that he was truly loved by many.
