Dear Toula and Braxton, I just learned of Charlie´s passing. I want to send you and your family my deepest support and love. It was an honor to work with him at the paper. He certainly helped me as a new reporter, and he changed my life for the better by encouraging me to apply for a Rotary Exchange to Brazil. Some of my best memories were of playing soccer with him and of coaching soccer with him in Mount Pleasant. Braxton, that was so much fun! Charlie was and is one of my best friends....

Charles was a bright light and literally a "lifeboat of comfort and hope" to me during some rather dark days...... beginning in 2016!! I will forever be grateful. I was a fan. Enjoyed SO much seeing him with my old friend (and former colleague) TOULA at our CHS reunions. Sending my love and heartfelt condolences to Toula and family. May God grant you all peace and comfort.
