Not sure what to say?

I just heard of Chuck's death. He lived up the street of N.E. 20th. We had a lawn mowing business for several years. He was the CEO with the mower. We played some back yard basketball. He like his dad, was a very talented athlete, and smart guy. We lost touch. I am not surprised at his Stanford accomplishments or his business skills. I didn't know of his religious beliefs/activities.

I was a visiting student from Germany, working at the Camebridge Companies during a three month internship in early 1987. Charles and his charming wife invited me to their house for dinner one night and it was a wonderful evening that made me forget my homesickness for one evening and made me feel very special. We are very saddened by this news that we just heard today. So sorry for your loss and ours . He was such a gentleman . We will miss him immensely .

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
I learned of Chucks passing from Bill Wakefield, recently.
I am shocked. I had no idea he was ill. I wish i had known.
He was a kind, happy person who fit in well with his classmates at Stanford. I will miss his presence at future Stanford gatherings. Our rank are thinning markedly of late and I treasure those memories that were created together so many years ago.
Sincerely,
Tim Steele

My brother, Barry, was one of Bumper’s long time friends. I have memories of Bumper being at our house in Portland when I was a little girl. I’ve continued to hear wonderful things about him over the years. I know he will be missed. Sending condolences to his family.

I went to grade school and high school with Bumper. Wonderful memories of an outstanding, kind, and considerate man Prayers to his family.

Remembering Chuck from high school days with fond memories playing poker every Friday night at my home on Alameda Terrace.
He was a great poker player and friend. All of us had fun together, joking around and playing cards. We enjoyed his company very much.

chuck was the greatest.

Chuck and my late husband Gerry Spencer, 7/29/41-8/28/2020 met in grade school. He loved Chuck from that time on and they stayed in touch throughout their lives. Gerry shared many memories with me of their exploits as kids. My prayers are with Debbie and his family.
