You have been a great positive influence and role model in my life . I deeply miss the time we have spent ,together in conversations and am very great full for the many unspoken things you have taught me . I will carry you with me for the rest of my life . There is no one that knows Harrisburg better than you . We would talk about the way Harrisburg was befor and you would know . I have seen you touch so many people ,in a very caring way . THANK YOU , THANK YOU , THANK YOU...

A gentleman and a gentle man. Like the shoe-shine business and the jazz he adored, Charlie Wise personified a better time gone by. And, like the Alden shoes in the window, quality was the hallmark of his character. His wisdom and wit will be missed as much as they are fondly remembered.

On behalf of my parents, the late John & Ruth Roach, I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the family of our former neighbor in Steelton. I know that your loved one will be greatly missed. My prayers go out to you.

Rest in peace Mr. Wise. I realize now that you have the perfect last name. Thank you for the conversations and wisdom you shared in your shop. You were an institution on Walnut Street and will be missed. My condolences to your family and friends.
