My family (your Aunt Rena, Uncle Charlie, David, Al and I) thought the world of Charles. I heard so many stories of the fun times he and my brothers had--as well as the mischief they got into. He was such a joy. The world was a better place because he lived.

Dear Colette, Alex and family
The Berne family sends you sympathy and we feel empathy with you as well. We lost our patriarch Tom Berne, very suddenly and without warning just 14 months ago. We do understand much of what you are feeling right now.
Colette, you were the Berne children's first and favorite French teacher at Pilgrim School and all three have remained fairly fluent in the language. Merci bien!
