Sending heartfelt prayers of sympathy to all of you. Charlie was a true gentlemen and Ambassador of hospitality to everyone around Captains Row in Mashpee. My favorite memory, Charlie teaching me how to fish for Fluke. Sets up my fishing rod, and then said the most important thing was to softly start saying, "Here Flukie, Flukie, Flukie"! Rest easy my friend. Chris

We are so sad that the current health crisis did not allow us to have so many of Charlies family members and friend at his funeral today. Please know he went out with full Honor Guard in a beautiful ceremony. We will try to post a pic for you. Thank you for all your kind memories. Keep them coming.

Took trip down Mashpee River in infamous pontoon boat. Engine quit, 1/2 ride took 1/2 day. No problem, thermos filled with gin & tonic. Rest in peace our friend, Mimi & Steve

Thanks for all the memories Charlie on the porch and on the pontoon boat. The good times and laughs will always be remembered by myself, Alan and my Father. Two memories that stick out best were launching the pontoon boat with the front mounted trailer hitch, and one of the the crab boils, at 2am, when with plenty crabs to go, we put a rope in a circle and into it went 10 crabs. The crab who crawled out of the circle was carried down the town dock and went into the bay, and the nine others...

You welcomed all of us with your hospitality. The porch may be empty, but we envision you sitting in your favorite chair, waving to us to come up and join you. The neighborhood will be at a loss. You gathered us together in laughter.
Your spirit is in our hearts.

Thank you for all of the fun memories and laughs that you shared with Cam and I as you were always so much more than a friend to us. From the adventurous journeys in your boat (that didn't leak that bad), the late nights filleting fish, rain days listening to Perry Como and the early morning "coffees..," your spirit and smile made Yip Lane an amazing place to call home. You are now looking at us from above, but don't forget your rule!!! "What happens on the porch, stays on...

I work in the same office with Charlie in the early eighties. He was such a nice man . I've often thought of him and so happy he had such a large caring family. Rest In Peace my friend
