His life began on Sept. 26, 1933, in LaPorte, Ind., the seventh of eight children born to George and Bernice Zabel.

Mr. Zabel was always so kind and nice to myself and my family. My father always enjoyed stopping by the auto shop to talk to Mr. Zabel. His presence in the town of Three Oaks will be greatly missed. Condolences go out from the whole Margol Family.
